both the “Christmas Showdown” and “Black Dragons” storylines.
Takemichi discovers for the second time since arriving in the present that the Tokyo Manji Gang has grown into a sizable criminal enterprise as a result of absorbing the Black Dragons after returning to the present. In addition, he discovers that the organization is still killing his buddies. He discovers when he goes back in time that Taiju, the abusive elder brother of Hakkai and the present head of the Black Dragons, had forced Hakkai Shiba to quit the Tokyo Manji Gang and join the Black Dragons. The Tokyo Manji Gang and the Black Dragons’ planned merger will be impacted by this occurrence. This knowledge is revealed to him during his time travel. In exchange for Yuzuha, the Shiba brothers’ sister, leaving the Black Dragons’ service and agreeing that Taiju won’t be allowed to torture her, Mitsuya makes a deal with Taiju under which he would allows Hakkai to join. Mitsuya will permit joining in return for Hakkai. Hakkai tells Takemichi and Chifuyu before bidding them farewell that Taiju has no intention of keeping his word and that he plans to kill him as soon as possible in order to free himself and Yuzuha. Then Hakkai says goodbye to them.
The Tokyo Manji Gang declines Takemichi’s request for help because they do not want to jeopardize Mitsuya’s reputation by violating the agreement, which would have been done anyhow. Nevertheless, despite their best efforts, he and Chifuyu are only able to enlist the aid of Kisaki and Hanma. They learn that Hakkai plans to murder Taiju on December 24, 2005, from two Black Dragons, Koko and Inupi. They find out these details collectively. On December 24, Takemichi goes to see them but learns Kisaki and Hanma have deceived and left him. In contrast, Chifuyu escapes and enlists Mitsuya as a combatant in their conflict with Taiju.
Takemichi understands that in the past, Yuzuha had murdered Taiju under Kisaki’s coercion, and as a result, Hakkai was made to take responsibility for her murder and obey Kisaki’s commands. Takemichi discovers that Taiju had been slain by Yuzuha in the earlier timeframe after unintentionally avoiding Taiju’s demise. In order to protect Yuzuha, Takemichi is able to convince Hakkai to confront Taiju. As a consequence of Mikey and Draken’s prompt arrival, the Black Dragons are finally defeated. Koko and Inupi joined the Tokyo Manji Gang as Takemichi’s subordinates when the Black Dragons’ 10th generation disbanded. They then took on the duties of co-leaders of the 11th generation of Black Dragons. After learning about Kisaki’s treacherous deed against them, Mikey excommunicates him from their group. By virtue of Mikey’s decision, 350 members of the Tokyo Manji Gang leave, including Hanma and the prior Moebius and Valhalla members.
A Tenjiku arc
The Tokyo Manji Gang had already been absorbed by Tenjiku by the time Takemichi returned to the present, after an event that became known as the “Kanto incident.” Mikey was so demoralized by this that he was prepared to kill all of his friends. Takemichi and Naoto learned of Kisaki’s affiliation with the Black Dragons while looking into Tenjiku, and they also learned that Shinichiro founded the group. Takemichi travels back in time to try to rescue their lives before they both lose them after being ambushed by Tenjiku members and receiving fatal wounds to both of them. Hinata overhears Takemichi grieving Naoto’s demise and the information that he had been traveling across time before to his death.
As a consequence of his jealousy, Takemichi holds anger against Mikey after learning that Izana Kurokawa, the leader of Tenjiku, is a close family friend of the Sanos. This is especially true given Shinichiro’s intention for Mikey to take over as the Black Dragons’ commander. Sanzu, Mucho’s deputy captain, and Tenjiku have joined at this time, and Koko is forced to follow them. Takemichi replaces Inupi as the head of the Black Dragons, and Inupi informs the Tokyo Manji Gang that Izana is preparing an attack for the Black Dragons’ 11th anniversary, which occurs on February 22, 2006. Takemichi is moved by
Takemichi’s tenacity, and Inupi grants Takemichi the position of Black Dragons
commander. Since Mitsuya and the captain of the fourth division Smiley have been
severely injured by Kisaki and Hanma before the combat even starts, Takemichi
loses the support of the other captains on the day of their battle. Additionally,
when Mikey’s half-sister Emma dies, Kisaki is to blame, Mikey and Draken are
saddened. Despite this, Takemichi succeeds in organizing the remaining members
of the Tokyo Manji Gang to fight Tenjiku, despite the fact that Tenjiku has 400
members while the Tokyo Manji Gang only has 50.
